Day 6 in Salzburg =)

And because Innsbruck was a half day trip, we reached Salzburg quite late in the afternoon. Haha, by travellers' instincts, we went to the tourist information office! (again) and found out how to go to the nearest and cheapest hostel, which happened to be YOHO Salzburg! =)

This is the main gate of the hostel =) Oh some information on this hostel - this place is nice and clean. To stay here, you need to pay a deposit on the card key and the sheets but it is refundable, and they no longer charge for showering haha! Meaning that you can bathe as long as you want and use up as much hot water as you need now! Laughs I sound so kian peng =)

Being late afternoon after we settle all the hostel stuff (we decided not to buy a travel pass because the lady at the office said that all of Salzburg was very walkable and it was indeed very true), we went for a walk around Salzburg to absorb its beauty. (It was kinda too late to go sightseeing)


This is the river (haha, remember twin's comment on rivers and places that we visit) in Salzburg named Salzach, which is the main river here and actually flows to Germany! Anyway, this was a nice river where we saw many pretty sights like hundreds of birds flying simultaneously. (Gosh. Not something that you see in Singapore - we were so awed!)


This is across the river from where we stay and it is also known as the old town and has all the attractions that we want to visit =) The buildings in the forefront are simply hotels and other buildings but you do see something at the top that looks a palace - it is the Fortress Hohensalzburg, and should not be missed especially on days with clear skies. We went on the third day - think twin will be talking about it. She was very trigger happy that day - the place is really beautiful laughs. Maybe I will add comments to her entry.

Laughs, can see that this photo was not taken on the same day right? Actually this photo was only taken after I keep bugging twin about it haha. I dunno how it happened but when I saw this tree I kinda fell in love with it and ya. But twin was like. What is so special about this tree? There are more down the road. I dunno why also dun ask me. But i'm glad its here in this photo, in this blog.
